MotoGP: Miller: "I've never felt as fast as I do now"

His was the fastest Ducati on the track. Jack Miller took care of holding the Borgo Panigale high on the second day of Buriram tests. The Australian filed away the session with the third fastest time, less than three tenths behind the leader. It was a performance that confirms the qualities of the Pramac rider.

“The bike is the same one as last year, so there are not a lot of things to test – the Australian began – I am pleased with the performance, because I am able to grow consistently on the GP17. In fact, I feel comfortable and I am close to the top, especially with used tyres.”

The tyres are the aspect that gives the Ducati rider the most confidence.

“In the morning, I did the best time without even trying to and on a tyre that had already done sixteen laps – he recalled – Compared to the riders that work with the new tyre, I only have a half a second gap, so I’m happy about that.”

The smile on Jack’s face is confirmation that everything is going as planned.

“Since I’ve been racing in MotoGP, I have never felt as fast as I do now – the Pramac rider revealed – In fact, I can do anything with the Ducati. With this bike, I rediscovered those sensations that I have been missing since I raced in Moto3 – he added – Obviously, I want to keep my feet on the ground, because things can change at the drop of a hat.”

He also dreams of throwing a leg over the GP18.

“Of course I would like to use it, but at the moment I am happy with the GP17.

Miller has a very clear goal in mind.

“I’d say it’s to be in the top five for every race.”
