In Austin there was a break between team Kiefer and Danny Kent, with the Brit deciding to withdraw from the contract with the team. “A huge surprise that is hard to understand for all the parties involved” commented the German team in a note.
And so, team Kiefer began the search for a replacement and for the Jerez Grand Prix the choice fell on Federico Fuligni. The Italian rider is currently racing with team Forward in the CEV championship and he has filled some wild card slots in the World Championship over the last 3 years, also astride a Suter.
For the moment, Fuligni will be racing with team Kiefer’s Suter only in the Spanish race alongside Dominique Aegerter.
“This, of course, is a great opportunity for me - Federico said - I’m very pleased and thankful for that. Racing in World Championship alongside the fastest riders is always very special. In addition, this commitment also means my comeback aboard a Suter bike. Two years ago, in European Championship I was racing with this bike. But for next week, everything will be new for me. Nevertheless, I will try and do my best to get familiarized as quickly as. I would like to use this awesome opportunity for further assignments.”
