Storm Ingrid is moving away from Portugal but, unfortunately, the Superbike has little to smile about. During the night before the Portimão tests, a lot of rain fell on the Algarve and, this morning, the Portuguese track was completely wet.
All the riders are, therefore, stuck in the pits, hoping for an improvement in the weather conditions in the afternoon. Obviously, this won't be a foregone conclusion, because it's unlikely that the asphalt will be 100% dry.
Tomorrow, however, rain is forecast for the entire day, so we'll have to see how the conditions evolve in what's likely to be the worst winter ever for the Superbike.
In Jerez, the riders had just over two hours at their disposal. In Portugal, we're likely to see the same outcome. At this point, the Phillip Island round risks being a bet in the dark.
