The Superbike is on the Jerez track for the last time in 2025, and there's lots of news to talk about: BMW lined up Petrucci and Oliveira, while Honda lined up Dixon and Chantra. And, obviously, everyone was curious to see the four at work. But the question that spontaneously arose was: how did it go? HERE you can find the live coverage of the day!
At 3:30 p.m., with still 2½ hours to go, Andrea Locatelli dictated the pace at 1'38"641. Danilo Petrucci, currently sixth, was only one second and two tenths from Yamaha's rider from Bergamo, occupying the sixth position.
Just behind him, with the seventh time, was Jake Dixon's Honda, delayed by 179 thousandths in the confrontation with BMW's rider from Terni. The British rider was followed by Oliveira, with a delay of only 41 thousandths, while Somkiat Chantra was ninth.
Taking a look at the stopwatch, the four are all within a time frame of less than four tenths, but none of them is seeking a time, because the priority is to work on sensations and grind out kilometers.
Among them, the one who did the most laps was Danilo Petrucci, with 57. Let's remember that Petrux isn't in great shape because he's undergoing neck treatments for cervical herniated discs.
