SBK: Rain spoils Michelin test, threatens Bulega's MotoGP debut

Michelin booked the Jerez track today and tomorrow for a two-day, closed-door test with the Superbike. For teams and riders, as well as for the French manufacturer, it was an chance to gather data and sensations, in order to further develop the tires in view of 2027.

Unfortunately, however, the weather played them a nasty trick, since it rained starting at crack of dawn. This morning, the only daredevil to take to the track was Michael van der Mark, while all the other riders remained in the pits. We'll have to see if the weather improves this afternoon.

Nicolò Bulega is also scheduled to test tomorrow on the Ducati MotoGP. In fact, the Borgo Panigale factory wants to line up Nicolò in place of Marquez in Portimão and Valencia, that's why the idea came up for an ad hoc test, to be ready and prepared for the final two rounds.

The weather forecast indicates a marked improvement for Thursday. We'll just have to wait and see if this will be the case or not. Bulega and Ducati are crossing their fingers.
