For a while, thanks to the Safety Car, he believed it, but Johann Zarco's pace was so high that Jack Miller could do nothing about it except accept that he had to leave the victory of the Suzuka 8 Hours 2025 to Honda, their 31st in the event.
Accompanied by the rest of the Yamaha crew, with Andrea Locatelli and Katsuyuki Nakayama, the Pramac MotoGP rider finished the race in second place, but the disappointment of not having won was replaced by the satisfaction of having at least tried.
"We're happy. The guys rode fantastically, and we did everything we could. Zarco and Takahashi were on another level. We did our best and, hopefully, we can come back again," the Australian rider said.
Loca, on the other hand, had something to be satisfied about: the fastest lap of the race, with a 2'06"604. "I'm quite happy with the performance. As a team, we did the best we could. I would've liked to be up in front, but we still did a magnificent job. It was the first experience for me, and I thank the manufacturer for the opportunity. It was one of the hardest races of my career, and my hand is completely gone. Besides that, the feeling was good, and I hope I can do it again because it was a great experience, and the track is fantastic. Given the record I set ,now I can look forward to the summer break," the Italian rider concluded.
