Jorge Martin isn't the only rider to be reunited with his team this weekend. Although he's still struggling with recovery for his left foot, which he injured during a fall at Phillip Island, Jonathan Rea returned to the Pata Maxus Yamaha team's pit to support the team in blue on this final day of racing in the Algarve.
As we can see from the cover image, the Northern Irish rider is still forced to use crutches, and he's still not certain that he'll be able to get back on his R1 for the next round of the World Superbike in Assen, scheduled for the weekend of April 11th to 13th.
And, about Rea - who was replaced in Portimão by Jason O'Halloran due to his injury, - Team Principal Paul Denning told the championship's official website: "His recovery is going very well, considering the type of injury. He'll be back, and that shows his commitment to this team. It's tough because your body can heal quickly, but a foot injury is quite extensive. The situation is going as well as we could hope. He still can't put weight on his foot, but he can train. At the moment, we can't ask more from him, but his presence in Assen has to be confirmed."
