Before taking to the track in Portimão with the KB998 Rimini - with which he'll be tackling the tests on March 14th and 15th, as well as the Portuguese round of the World Superbike - Axel Bassani got on a Kawasaki ER-6n to face another kind of challenge: passing his motorcycle license test.
Although he's been in the World Superbike for four full seasons, and has gotten on six podiums riding the Motocorsa team's Ducati V4R, up until a few days ago, the current Bimota by KRT team rider didn't have a license to ride a motorcycle on the road.
But, as the post that El Bocia posted on his social media profiles proves, it was a feat he managed to accomplish successfully. "Got my motorcycle license. Now I can ride a motorcycle," Bassani wrote, joking that he finally has everything he needs to ride a two-wheel vehicle, not only on the circuit but now also on the road.
