SBK, No release from BMW to allow Redding to test the Ducati!

Almost unbelievable what happened at Jerez: Scott stayed all day in the box waiting for the green light from the Munich-based manufacturer to test the Panigale V4. This, however, did not arrive and so the #45 went home.

SBK: No release from BMW to allow Redding to test the Ducati!

It is truly incredible what happened today at Jerez. Scott Redding was supposed to take to the track for his first day of testing riding the Ducati V4 after three years. The Borgo Panigale factory had been working hard to put the Briton in the best possible condition ahead of the test, including getting the bike in at the last minute.

Unfortunately, however, there was a hiccup. According to what we have learnt, BMW did not give the Briton a release to test the Rossa, forcing him to remain idle in the box all day. Apparently, using the conditional of course, there would be contractual reasons regarding the termination of the relationship between the two parties. However, further investigation is needed on this aspect.

At the same time, we also expect a communication on this matter from the Munich-based company, regarding an affair that is truly unbelievable.

So we will see what will be the evolution of the situation: for sure at Jerez Scott Redding will not test the Ducati V4. For him it's quite a cold shower for what should have been his long-dreamed of comeback.
