The countdown has begun! Bimota will finally make its debut on the track at the two-day test in Jerez on Tuesday. There's great anticipation to see the latest-evolution KB5 at work, marking a real break with the past.
But all Kawasaki contributed was the engine, the rest it is a project inspired by the MotoGP philosophy, following other manufacturers, such as Ducati and BMW, just to name a couple.
According to what we've learned in the past few hours, the Bimota will be sporting wings, while the Showa will have forks, inherited from Kawasaki. As for the frame, it should be tubular, steel, and carbon-reinforced.
Finally, the engine should deliver more than 220 horsepower, consequently, exceeding the 15,100 rpm of the current ZX-10RR. These are some of the nnovations related to the most anticipated bike of the upcoming Superbike World Championship.
We'll finally see the bike on the track on Tuesday, after months and months of tests carried out in great secrecy.
