The arrival of Marquez in the official team, the farewells of Bastianini and Martin to which is added that of Pramac which says goodbye to Ducati and goes with Yamaha. Gigi Dall'Igna spoke about this and much more to Sky TV's microphones at the end of the Assen TT, where Bagnaia and the Rossa made a full haul.
The Ducati Corse manager spoke first of all about the end of the collaboration with the structure headed by Paolo Campinoti.
"First of all I would like to thank Pramac, because with their contribution we were able to grow our bike and also the young talents," said Gigi, "we are sorry to lose such an important reality, but everyone wanted us to lose a team next year. We will certainly not change our philosophy, in fact we have signed with Aldeguer, trying to do with him what we have done in these years with Enea and Martin. This will be the challenge ahead of us and life goes on."
Speaking of 2026, here are some rumors about it.
"We want to do three official bikes and three bikes from the previous year. I think that's the best thing and that's our goal. At the moment we are not yet ready to make announcements, but they will come soon. For sure we have come to field eight bikes on the track without wronging anyone, but doing a great job."
Among the issues is also the subject of Marquez. Many observers argue that the blame for all these goodbyes rests on the arrival of #93 in the factory team after giving up Pramac.
"If Marc had gone to Pramac it would have been different, but it was complex to keep two riders. That said, the fault is not Marquez's because we had to choose a rider and we had three available, knowing that they would end up on the market."
The fact remains that next year Magic Marc will wear red leathers.
"We certainly did not put Marquez alongside Bagnaia to evaluate Pecco, as I read in some newspapers. Pecco is our flagship, he has won two titles with Ducati and is doing wonderful things. We felt it was right to have the two best possible riders on the team."
Speaking of riders, the future of Di Giannantonio is still to be defined.
"Diggia is a very good rider, he won with Ducati and is having a very good season. Together with Marc he is the one who interprets the GP23 best and we aim to keep him with us even if it will be complicated. Aldeguer? He will end up in one of the two satellite teams. You will know everything shortly!"
