After Alex Rins, it was up to Takaaki Nakagami to unveil his LCR team Honda. This will be the Japanese rider’s 6th year in the MotoGP, all spent on the Honda in Lucio Cecchinello’s team.

If his teammate had experienced the nightmare of being the only one to have to ride the RC231V, in the video of the presentation, Nakagami was projected into the past, to 1953. In the end, Takaaki returned to the present and his MotoGP.

Last season was very difficult for Taka, also due to a serious injury that caused him to miss several GPs. He’ll definitely have to progress in 2023.

The Japanese rider recalled his childhood: “When I was at the Motegi GP in 2009 and met Daijiro Kato, he gave me his used boots. I still have them, and I thought I wanted to become like him. It was my first dream.”

My goal is to be competitive,” he said. “We’ll have a new format, with the sprint race. It’s going to be difficult with forty-two races, but I’m ready to fight along with my team.
