On his YouTube program, 99 seconds, Jorge Lorenzo had some anecdotes regarding Le Mans, where the MotoGP will race this weekend. The rider from Mallorca talked about the French GP, in which he’s achieved several victories during his career in both the 250 and the MotoGP, and he also revealed something about him and Valentino.

It was 2010, and Le Mans was an important race for both of us. We had started talking about the contract for the upcoming year,” he explained.

The first to sit at the table with Iwata’s top management was the Doctor.

Valentino spoke withYamaha and practically said to them: ‘Either me or Lorenzo’”,  Jorge revealed. “They replied that they would welcome him with open arms if he wanted to continue, but they wouldn’t do without me. Rossi saw this as a betrayal after the titles and victories obtained for them, but Yamaha was thinking about the future.

On Sunday, the victory was a matter between the two teammates, with Lorenzo getting the better of Rossi in the finale. Then, as we all well known, Valentino decided to abandon Yamaha to join Ducati.
