After pulling out of the season-opening round of the CIV Supersport 600 NG following a bad fall during the tests, Noah Dettwiler was also forced to miss last weekend’s race at Mugello, since he hadn't been cleared by the doctors.
This marks yet another setback in the young Swiss rider’s road towards recovery, which was halted in October 2025 by a serious fall involving José Antonio Rueda during the Moto3 World Championship GP in Sepang. The road back to racing is proving to be long, bumpy, and complex, but Noah hasn’t lost his will to fight and believe in himself, like his parents shared in an update posted on social media, as they take stock of the situation.
“As parents, we’d like to share a brief update with you on Noah’s return to motorcycle racing, from our perspective and with all our hearts. Since he suffered that serious accident in Malaysia last October, our lives have changed completely. An incredibly difficult journey towards recovery has begun for Noah. Every single day ,he fights to get back in shape and pursue his biggest dream. And we can assure you that he's truly giving it his all,” the post reads. “There are days full of hope, but, unfortunately, also many setbacks, pain, and moments that are hard to put into words. Nevertheless, Noah always gets back up. He keeps fighting with a strength that deeply moves us as parents and makes us incredibly proud.
Sorpasso management and the Kuja Racing team are standing by Noah and us in every way. We are infinitely grateful for this. Behind the scenes, so many things are happening, unfortunately, not always positive ones. Some situations are hard to understand and often even hard to bear. But no matter what happens, we stand united as a family and will never give up. For us as parents, many things are new, many are intense, and sometimes even emotionally overwhelming. But, in the end, only one thing matters to us, which is our son and his journey back, back to his life.
That’s why it’s even more important for us to know we have so many people by our side. People who feel empathy, who fight alongside us, who believe in Noah, and who support us. This support gives us strength, more than you can imagine. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We firmly believe that everything will be okay. You’ll see.”
Everyone hopes to see Dettwiler on the track in Imola on the weekend of June 5th–7th, when the third round of the Italian Supersport Championship will take place.
