Moto3: Foggia still absent. CFMoto Aspar team renews confidence in Esteban

The CFMOTO Power Electronics Aspar team will be at the start of the Malaysian GP with the same lineup as in Australia. Recovering from pneumonia, Dennis Foggia will once again be forced to watch his colleagues from the couch at home. Therefore, alongside Máximo Quiles, fighting for the podium until the last lap at Phillip Island, Joel Esteban will again be fielded.

"I'll be working on another track unfamiliar to me, so it will be important to learn it quickly. The goal is to overcome the disappointment of missing the top 3 in the Australian round. At Sepang, the possibility of winning the rookie of the year title is also looming, but I don't want to think about it too much. I prefer to take it race by race and enjoy them all," said the Murcian currently third in the Moto3 overall with 228 points to leader Jose Antonio Rueda's 365.

"I hope that Foggia can recover soon. Last weekend I worked well with the team and got a good result on a complicated track - said instead the Catalan, fourth at the end of the previous round - That said, I feel ready to race and fight for a good placing. The ambition is the same as at Phillip Island: to keep working hard to find the best set-up and avoid mistakes. By doing so we can have a good race."

For his part, the Italian wanted to provide an update on his health status via Instagram. "Unfortunately, this weekend I won't take part in the race to continue on the path of recovery and return to the track in the best possible condition. The decision was made together with the team to allow me to complete the recovery phase in the best possible way, not to have relapses and to arrive ready and competitive for the Portuguese Grand Prix. Right now the priority is to get back to 100 percent," it reads.
