Current Moto3 leader Jose Antonio Rueda will continue with the KTM GP Academy in 2026, but he'll be switching to the Moto2 with the Ajo team alongside Collin Veijer.
The 19-year-old rider boasts 78 points in the overall standings thanks to 8 wins and 11 podiums he achieved riding the RC4 in his third season in the category. The Spanish rider earned his promotion because he was convincing for his speed, riding ability, and quick adaptation.
"I'm really happy to be able to ride for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. They believed in me, and I'm really grateful, especially to Aki and Niklas. It's a team I aspired to, and I want to continue to fulfill my dreams with them. I hope we can enjoy many more years together. I know the Moto2 is a very difficult category and it's going to be tough, but we're ready to give it our all."
"We're very happy to have signed with Jose Antonio. We started working together three years ago. He has great potential, so we're thrilled to have him with us again. It's definitely a pleasure to have two riders from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup program. We want to help them grow during the upcoming season," Team Manager Niklas Ajo stated.
