SBK: Official: Tito Rabat and Motoxracing team part ways after five Rounds

As we anticipated yesterday, the event at Most was the last one for Tito Rabat with the colors of the Motoxracing team. Just the day after the round in the Czech Republic, the fifth of the twelve events on the World Superbike calendar, Sandro Carusi’s team and the Spanish rider announced that they had mutually ended their partnership.

“In agreement with the rider, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team announces its decision to terminate the contract with Tito Rabat - reads the note released by the Roman team - Despite the great commitment of both the team and the rider, the results have unfortunately not arrived. Hence, the decision to split, to allow both parties to pursue their respective goals. The Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team thanks Tito Rabat for his professionalism and wishes him good luck for the future”.

After concluding his experience aboard the Kawasaki of the Puccetti team, Rabat had joined the Motoxracing team to support the rookie Bahattin Sofuoglu in the 2025 season. With the aim of fighting consistently for the Top 12, aboard the Yamaha R1 fielded by the Roman team. A goal that he was unable to realize in the first 15 races of the year, in which he collected a tally of only three points against the nine won by his teammate.

Having made the separation from Rabat official, the Motoxracing team seems intent on focusing on Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who could climb on the R1 left free by the 35-year-old in the next appointment at Misano.
