SBK: Cremona: BMW thinks about post-Toprak, assault on Locatelli and Bulega!

All eyes are on the track today in Cremona, as well as the rider transfer market. Toprak Razgatlioglu seems to be for all intents and purposes the deciding factor when it comes to 2026. The Turk's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and at the moment a big question mark hovers over his future. There is talk of Honda as well as Yamaha in MotoGP and at the same time of staying with BMW.

Obviously, the Munich-based manufacturer will do everything to retain the world champion, putting a million-dollar offer on his plate. At the same time, however, it is not certain that Toprak will accept, because as we all know, his dream is to move into the other paddock.

With this in mind, BMW is already working on a possible Plan B. Today, in the paddock in Cremona, Sven Blusch will meet Yuri Danesi and Alberto Martinelli, that is, the respective managers of Andrea Locatelli and Nicolò Bulega.

Both riders have expiring contracts: the former with Yamaha, the latter with Ducati, and neither has renewed for next year yet, despite the fact that the two manufacturers have already made their renewal proposal.

The strategy is very clear: both Danesi and Martinelli want to understand what BMW can offer them, which in the event of Toprak's farewell will mean that the German manufacturer must go in search of a replacement. It's inevitable therefore that the names on everyone's lips are those of Andrea and Nicolò.

For Superbike, therefore, a couple of frenetic weeks are looming as the championship heads towards the Most round.
