Moto3: Quiles forced to withdraw in Qatar: broke thumb on right hand

The news was announced by both the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar team and the rider himself. Máximo Quiles, the 2025 Moto3 Championship's big surprise, has been declared unfit to participate in the Qatar GP scheduled for this weekend.

The reason for his absence is an accident that occurred during training while the talented rider from Spain was preparing for the Lusail race. No fractures had emerged after an initial medical check-up but, once he arrived at the circuit and had X-rays, it was clearly evident that his right thumb was broken.

Due to this situation, Màximo will have to immediately return to his home country to undergo surgery. He might then possibly return to the group as early as the Jerez round, at the end of April.
