MotoGP, Tardozzi: "We will know Marc's limit when Martin returns to form."

"When he's in form, Marc is Marc. Also surprised by Zarco, he did well. Bagnaia? we are not worried, he can beat both Alex and Marc. Alex Marquez will be able to fight for the top 3 in the championship, he has matured, aware of his speed and has a good bike to do it."

MotoGP: Tardozzi:

Marc Marquez's full house of results in these first two rounds of the championship has put a big smile on the face of Ducati, which has started the season with an unchallenged domination by the Spanish brothers and a more struggling but still competitive Pecco. Irrespective of the standings, however, it is still too early to draw an absolute judgment on the performance and form factor on the track. While the three-time champion Bagnaia has accustomed us over the years to taking his time to reach perfection with his machine, the performance of other rival manufacturers such as Aprilia is still to be evaluated, given also the absence of defending champion Jorge Martin. This is in fact the opinion of the Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi, who beyond the justified easy enthusiasm, prefers to wait for more races to pan out to have a more complete picture.

"We will know Marc's limit when Jorge returns to track form," the manager told our AS colleagues, "because we know he will push a lot. As for the other opponents, I was very surprised by Zarco. He did an incredible sprint. Good for him. As for Marc ... when he is physically fit he is simply Marc."

While on one side of the box, things are going really well, on the other side - Bagnaia's - one might think that there is a bit of tension. The team manager, however, reassured:

"We are not worried. I think Pecco will beat Álex and on some occasions he will beat Marc as well. If you look at Álex's career, you can see that he won the title after several years in Moto3, and the same in Moto2, where he won it after five years. He is a little slow, but when Álex arrives, he arrives. I think Álex will be able to fight for the top three positions in the World Championship, because now he has matured, he is aware of his speed and has a good bike," he concluded.
