The Marc VDS team wanted to thank the paddock and in particular the friends of the Suzuki team who have been hard at work rebuilding the Moto2 team's box 'as if it were their own box.'

Apparently, the fire started from flooding of the pit floor that short-circuited an outlet; sparks ignited the carpet. Thanks to prompt action, damage was minimized. The motorcycles were not damaged.
