MotoAmerica, The fight between Petrucci and Gagne opens to debate: Will Petrux stay in the U.S. in 2023?

The MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, run by the great Wayne Rainey wonders:

With 16 of 20 races complete in the 2022 MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike C'ship and just 1 point separating Jake Gagne from Danilo Petrucciin the point standings, it begs the question: Is this the closest SBK C'ship battle at this point of the season in the 8 years of MotoAmerica?

The answer can only be: after the boring 2021 championship with Gagne alone dominating the series, the gain in visibility with Petrux's arrival was obvious. And now MotoAmerica would like to keep the italian in the States for an eventual rematch, whichever of the two turns out to be the winner.
