MotoAmerica, Ducati at Daytona like Imola: left high and dry, victory lost at pit stop

Former Daytona 200 winner Josh Herrin was looking forward to another possible victory, but he ran out of fuel just before a pit stop. Once he refueled and changed tires, his Ducati was slow to start, resulting in an unfortunate 10th place finish.

A similar problem cost Bruno Spaggiari the victory at Imola but, at the time, Paul Smart and his Ducati were still able to bring home the victory.

And it’s happened several times before. The STORY.
