Moto3, BREAKING: Bastianini to miss Sepang GP

Enea Bastianini has arrived at Sepang but he will not ride his Honda for the Grand Prix. The Team Gresini rider was involved in a terrible accident at Phillip Island, where he was struck by Navarro's bike. In the impact he fractured the T9 vertebra and a rib.

This is an injury that, after further medical checks, led to the decision for Bastianini to miss the Malaysia round. The rider from Rimini will need to rest and hopes are that he will be able to get back in the saddle at Valencia for the last GP of the season, although that decision will be made only in the coming weeks.

Team Gresini will most likely not replace Enea for the Malaysian race. An official announcement should be made in the coming hours.
