A new challenge awaits Danilo Petrucci in 2026, and it's called BMW! According to reports, the rider from Terni and his manager, Alberto Vergani, have reached an agreement with the Munich-based manufacturer. Danilo will be riding the M 1000 RR in the next World Superbike Championship.
At the end of the season, the chapter of Petrux's second life in Barni will end. Their story goes beyond the track, peppered with podiums and victories, with that memorable hat trick scored last year in Cremona riding the Panigale V4.
The German bike will be waiting for Danilo on the horizon, with a very heavy baton to pick up, namely, that of Toprak Razgatloglu: undisputed role player on the M 1000 RR these past two seasons.
Everyone is curious in seeing the Petrucci-BMW pair at work. Before that, however, there's one last challenge for Danilo and Barni to overcome: try to win third place in the Championship. That would be a dream ending for one of the couples that have most excited this Superbike.
