Petrucci: "Balaton is a mix between Lombok and Most: I lapped in 1'43"

"The track is fun, there are lots of restarts and it's very easy to overtake. Last weekend I did 600 laps with the Panigale V4-S."

SBK: Petrucci: "Balaton is a mix between Lombok and Most: I lapped in 1'43"

Over the Mugello weekend there were those who saw fit to head to Balaton and discover the track that will welcome SBK at the end of July, that is, before the summer break. This is the case of Danilo Petrucci, who rode on the Hungarian track on Saturday and Sunday.

We therefore caught up with the Barni team rider on his return home from Hungary, asking him about the track he found and the sensations gathered.

"I have to say that Balaton is a very fun track," Petrux told us, "I did almost 600km in these two days, lapping in 1'43". Let's say I'm pretty exhausted, but I'm happy with the work done."

You rode the Panigale V4-S, what are your considerations of the track?
"Balaton is a track with a lot of restarts. There are three hairpins, three chicanes and three fast corners. It's a track that allows you to overtake, where you can also do it with ease. I had some positive feedback and we'll see what happens at the end of July."

What track does Balaton remind you of?
"In my opinion it is somewhere between Most and Lombok. I think Balaton combines these two tracks in terms of what the layout is. As I said, we rode a lot, Caricasulo, Montella, Schroetter and Vostatek were also present."

Is it a Petrucci track?
"That I don't know, but it would be nice. In the end this was just a first contact, then at the end of July I think the conditions will be different. However, the first balance is positive."
