Davide Tardozzi is looking forward to 2025, and his enthusiasm is understandable. The Ducati team manager will have two champions in the box, Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, and he can't wait to find out what that pair can do. The test day in Barcelona was just a taster for the new team.
"Honestly, I think we have a dream team," Tardozzi said to motogp.com without any false modesty, "Pecco and Marc are two incredible riders, I think we will be able to manage their collaboration and we will be the team to beat next year. I also know that the other manufacturers have improved both technically and in terms of riders, but Ducati will be a tough opponent."
Not only for its riders, but also for its bike.
"We have to take time in the winter to make the right steps because the GP24 is a very competitive bike and it will not be so easy to improve it," the Italian team manager forewarned.
In 2025 Ducati will have to face rival riders it knows well because so many have left Borgo Panigale to seek other paths.
"We know that our rivals are tough and will be very strong from the riders' point of view. Aprilia will have Martin and Bezzecchi and KTM Bastianini and Vinales, so we have our antennae straight," Tardozzi concluded with a smile.
