Moto2: Tendonitis stops Sam Lowes in Portimao: test ended early

Sam Lowes isn't having a flawless winter test season. The British rider, Tony Arbolino’s teammate  on the Marc VDS team, took a fall in Jerez, which reactivated the tendonitis in his left wrist and, in Portimao, another fall exacerbated the unresolved problem.

Lowes was already suffering on the track and didn't seem as incisive as before, but a fall yesterday at Turn 3 on the Algarve track convinced him to stop before worsening the situation. Sam is a Moto2 veteran and is obviously listed as one of the contenders for the 2022 title, but the start of the season in Qatar may not be the easiest for him.

"Tests finished for me. Worked on few things for the races. Wrist not letting me ride how I want, so better to have more time to prepare for Qatar! Thanks to my team, as always, for the great  job.”
