MotoGP: Pedrosa: Things are better, but I still don't have what I want

After many difficulties, Dani Pedrosa in Brno, on a track that he has always loved, found that competitiveness he had been seeking. The tests a few weeks ago probably helped, but the Spaniard had a hand in finishing in the lead on the first day of free practice.

I think that today we did a good job, especially in the second session - he said, satisfied - I started the session with a good pace, working with hard tyres and each run was positive.

Then he looked for the best performance.

I put on the soft tyres and I was able to lower my times significantly - he continued - This is positive, because lately I have had a lot of problems improving with new tyres, whereas today I was able to be faster straight away. Of course, I need to keep my feet on the ground because not all the riders used the soft tyres today and I need to repeat this good performance tomorrow in qualifying.

Did you finally find the solution?
Right now my sensations in the saddle have definitely improved, but I still do not have exactly what I want. Today I had the chance to be fast and work on pace. I don't know why, but things went better than usual here. However, as I said, the sensations can improve.

Is this performance also due to some improvements on the bike?
From a technical point of view, something seems to be going better and that gives me more confidence. It is the combination of a lot of elements put together; that's always the way it is.

Could your weight be an advantage in terms of tyre wear?
"I don't know how much of an impact it has. I wouldn't know how to answer that. As for the tyre choice, I think we will need to do more testing tomorrow before we decide."
