Franco Morbidelli used the three-day Sepang test to build confidence with his Honda. He is still at the beginning of his growth path but there are already some interesting signs and the Marc VDS rider should not be underestimated, twentieth at the end of the day behind Bradley Smith.

“The most important thing is that I've found greater confidence with the bike and understand it better, also seeing how to work and what I need to learn”.

And to think it was a bit of an uphill climb for Franco today.

This morning I had a problem with my finger. I was struggling to ride and thought I'd broken something, but luckily it was nothing. in the end, it was only a small thing ”.

Franco then analyses his day in more detail.

We worked with the medium tyre and am pleased with the results. In the afternoon, I also tried a time attack, but the track conditions were worse than yesterday and so I was unlucky”.

The balance is positive for the current Moto2 champion though.

“This is my first test and I'm pleased with the work I've got done with the team. I'm now curious to see Buriram, get to know the track and take another step forward in terms of my personal development with the Honda”.
