The SBK team which this year will defend the Ducati Aruba colours was also presented in the Madonna di Campiglio setting. The confirmed Alvaro Bautista, fresh from two world championship successes in a row and a record number of victories for the brand, 59, was joined by the Supersport champion Nicolò Bulega.

The excitement of the new arrival was plain for all to see. “It's nice to be here in this location - he declared, recalling when he followed the event on TV - It won't be easy having a teammate like this close by and so I know that there will be some suffering, but in the same way his presence will be a help given that I am a rookie and he is an expert. I'll try to copy him and learn his tricks. The motorbike was already beautiful before and now with the new graphics even more so. Overall I have high expectations for this season. I'm sure we can do well. The package we have available is excellent. I am very excited and will give my all right from the start."

The undisputed dominator of the last two championships was also enthusiastic, although with some reservations: “It will be a nice challenge because there have been many changes, with the regulations and in terms of the competition. We will immediately have to work as best as we can to adapt, but I believe that in any case it will be fun. The goal is to reach our maximum potential as soon as possible. My neighbour in the garage is young, strong and has already shown that he is fast. The changes relating to the minimum weight do not work in my favour (now set at 80 kg), however I will give everything to be competitive."

The expectations of team principal Stefano Cecconi are also high. "2024 will certainly be interesting. There will be some fascinating challenges to face. However, I have no doubt that the team will continue with the same determination to try to achieve great results again. We will rely on the best possible rider pairing, namely two reigning world champions".
