MotoGP: Bezzecchi, accident at the Ranch: suspected collarbone fracture

There’s still no official confirmation, but it seems like Marco Bezzecchi might have fractured his collarbone today while training at the Ranch. A bad injury for the VR46 rider, who’s currently 3rd in the Championship, on the eve of the first of two hat-tricks, which will then end in Valencia for the grand finale of the season.

As is usual on Saturdays, Bez was training on his flat track bike with the other Academy riders, having fun a few days before the start of the Indonesia GP, which Marco will probably now have to skip.

This is also a setback for his championship because, if Bezzecchi had separated himself from Bagnaia and Martin in the fight for the title, he wasn’t that far ahead: 54 points from Pecco and 51 from Martin. He was, therefore, still in the game. In the next few hours they’ll know how serious the injury is and how much time he’ll need to recover.
