Marc Marquez is back in action and doing it his way at Le Mans. After a standstill of over a month and a half, in order to reduce a fracture to the first metacarpal of his right hand, the Spanish rider said he wanted to take it easy for this French stage of the World Championship. That said, Marc took to the track, tried to take advantage of Bagnaia’s slipstream, and entered the Q2 in the face of all the other Honda riders who continue to drown in HRC’s problems.

In the meantime, KTM continues to soar, Miller’s dreaming big, Aprilia responded with both Aleix Espargarò and Maverick Vinales, while Pecco Bagnaia was slightly hidden in the shadows today, struggling with one too many problems on his Ducati. However, Danilo Petrucci was a surprise. He returned, without testing, and didn’t do that bad at all.

Instead, Fabio Quartararo is in a dark period. He wasn’t able to get into the Q2 on his home track and continues to suffer with a Yamaha that won't let him keep up with his rivals, especially when it comes to the time attacks.

Watch our Paolo Scalera and Matteo Aglio as they tell us about Friday at Le Mans directly from the paddock.
