SBK: VIDEO - Interlagos, a hole opens up on the track

The Formula 1 drivers have been complaining about the layout of the Interlagos Brazilian track for a few years now. One of the most historic tracks worldwide but with some significant structural problems. Bumpy asphalt, narrow paddock, short ride-off areas, and now a hole has opened up on the track, precisely at the Curva do Laranjinha. According to what we learned from local sources, it was caused by a ruptured pipe. This isn’t a small problem, since the Formula Vee Brasil will be racing on the Interlagos track over the weekend, and the Brazilian SBK championship will be starting on March 6th on the same track, which will be hosting six weekends of the racing calendar.
