A large part of the spotlights related to the 2021 rider market are focussed on him. We are talking about Pol Espargarò, who, as we all know, has ended up in Honda's sights. Alberto Puig is in fact intent on having him join up with Marc Marquez in view of next season and the occasion seems to be one of those not to be missed.
In the last few hours Pol has come clean, issuing some declarations on the matter to the Spanish media: “Who wouldn't want to ride a Honda? - asks the Spaniard - It is the bike of everyone’s dreams to fight for the World Championship and the same goes for Ducati. In recent years we have seen what Marquez has done with the RC213V - he added - he is a phenomenon, a legend and with the Honda he has been winning for many years. Certainly that bike and the Ducati are the best out of all those present on the starting grid in MotoGP ".
Pressed on the matter, Espargarò then explained how the negotiations were going, which in addition to HRC are also involving Ducati: "At the moment there is nothing official - he said - there are two teams on the table, as well as others in the paddock. This is the ideal situation for me, since I have the opportunity to listen to the various proposals, but in the end, I don't know what will happen."
Pol, however, is looking to the future openly: “I am no longer a 24-year-old guy, since I am 29 - he mentioned - so I want to show what my potential is, since I don't have another 10 years of racing ahead of me. At the same time, however, I want to evaluate the KTM project, since we have grown in recent seasons, obtaining important results ".
