Moto3: Bertelle accident, impossible to define date of his return

The slow and arduous recovery process for Matteo Bertelle continues. The Moto3 Level UP-MTA team rider had an accident in early April while training, which caused a fracture of his right tibia and left humerus. Not only was the rider from Monselice forced to skip the Qatar and Spanish GPs, he'll also have to stay off every track for quite a while.

At least, this is what the team's official press release inferred, along with the details of how the 21-year-old's recovery is progressing.

"Over the past few weeks, the clinical picture has become clearer," it states.  "The injury has resulted in significant lesions to both his lower and upper limbs, particularly his arm and leg. He will shortly begin intensive rehabilitation for his arm, while recovery for his fractured leg will require a longer and more delicate period of time."

"As of today, it is not possible to set a date for his return with certainty," the press release continues. "Recovery will depend on the clinical evolution and the progress that Matteo will be able to make, step by step, with the determination that distinguishes him."
