At Assen, Kenan Sofuoglu spoke about Toprak's future and also about his son, Zayn, who turned six a week ago and boasts of 4.5 million followers on social media.
His achievements, on two and four wheels, are known to everyone: all you have to do is skim through his profiles to see what he's up to.
Kenan Sofuoglu told us a couple of anecdotes and more about his son.
"Zayn is only 6 years old, and he's known all over the world," he said. "In Europe, as well as in America and Brazil. he boasts almost five million followers on Instagram. But he's not just social, because he has exceptional talent and incredible speed. You can see it in the videos we share every now and on our profiles."
Is it true that he's the real star in Turkey?
"Zayn is more of a star than Toprak and me, without a shadow of a doubt. When people stop us on the street or outside a store, they ask him for his photo and autograph first."
What future do you have in mind for him?
"On a motorcycle, he's very fast, and he could already win now. I see him when he trains with us sometimes. He can keep up with Can Oncu or Bahattin. But now we're focusing on four wheels. Two weeks ago, he had his first race in the British karting championship and won the first two heats. He's also very competitive in cars, because he's so talented."
You're dreaming of the F1 for him, right?
"The dream is to get to the F1, however, we do not want to build am F1 driver, but a champion. This is our great challenge with Zayn."
