Assen was a weekend to forget for Andrea Iannone. The Go Eleven rider ended up on the ground in qualifying, destroying his Panigale V4 and compromising the continuation of his weekend.
About the accident, Andrea told us,"After the start, the front locked up at turn seven. It was a stupid slip, but the Ducati stuck in the asphalt, regained grip, and then spun on itself."
Unfortunately, videos of the accident haven't been seen, but photos of the sequence, taken by Photographer Ryan Sandall, surfaced today and were published in Superbike Magazine.
Here's what happened to Iannone during the Assen Superpole.
