MotoGP, Dall'Igna: "Marquez's victory in Qatar was an exercise in style."

"Marc showed great mastery on not one of his favourite tracks. Bagnaia in trouble at the end of the race for a grid start too far back. Great start to the season for Morbidelli and Aldeguer is on the rise."

MotoGP: Dall'Igna:

A few days after what, following Maverick Vinales' penalty, turned into yet another Ducati domination, boss Gigi dall'Igna, in the classic post-weekend analysis he keeps on his LinedIn page, not only had words of praise for the Marquez version of a steamroller, but also highlighted the'excellent race performance by all of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer's riders in Lusail, as well as the need not to underestimate the increasingly fierce and growing competition.

"Another special weekend for our bikes and riders. Ducati scores a one-two with a podium that, once again, is clad in our colours, placing five bikes in the top six. A victory, the 21st in a row, with an intense flavour against strong opponents who just showed how fearsome they can be. A success that, in the light of how it unfolded, urges us never to let our guard down.
An incomparable Marc at the moment, in an exercise of style that yet again demonstrated all his strength, but above all his tactical ability and competitive sagacity in knowing how to read the race and modulate his resources at the most important moments, optimising manner and timing for the final attack. He thus logged his third success in four long races, the seventh out of the total eight run so far. Pole, Sprint, GP and fastest lap on a track that had not seen him excel for more than 10 years: this was not one of his favourite tracks and this makes his success even more brilliant,"
was the analysis of the performance of the ace from Cervera, now back on top of the overall standings with 123 points to his brother Alex's 106.

"I am also satisfied with Pecco's race, a good fight worthy of his standing, limited only by having had a grid start too far from the front line, which forced him to immediately deploy precious resources to claw his way back, being unable to preserve them for the race ending, in which inevitably all this took its toll," he commented about Bagnaia.

"We also hail an exciting Morbidelli for a most deserved podium. This excellent start to the championship is yet another confirmation of his solidity, as well as the team's. Today’s was another great performance that also took him to lead the race for many laps," were his words about Franco before moving on to a convincing Aldeguer, in good form in Qatar.

"Aldeguer reconfirmed himself after the Sprint Race and the Austin GP with a fifth place that highlights his sustained adaptation and improvement, as well as his talent and good teamwork: a fresh scent and a bright smile to close this important weekend."
