MotoGP, Di Giannantonio: "I was at 180 km / h and I found Martin lying in front of me."

MotoGP: Di Giannantonio:

If there is one rider who experienced the Qatar GP with his heart in his throat, it is Fabio di Giannantonio. First the contact with Alex Marquez, then the incident with Jorge Martin not only caused him to slip down to sixteenth position, far from where he would have wanted and could have finished, but more importantly made him experience nightmarish moments.

"I was way ahead of Alex and he hit me. He certainly didn't do it on purpose, but mistakes like that, in MotoGP are kind of borderline. He put me in a dangerous situation and I was in danger of getting very hurt. A Long Lap Penality is not enough for a maneuver like that," was his outburst about the hit received by the Gresini Racing rider.

Even more anxious was the situation experienced with Jorge, on his return after the two injuries he picked up in the winter and now again forced to be out for who knows how long given the severity of what happened in Lusail.

"I found him lying in front of my bike as I was going between 160-180 km/h - was what Fabio said about the inevitable contact with the world champion, who had just crashed at turn 12 and at the moment the VR46 rider passed, was still on the ground - It was very bad what I saw, the worst scene of my life and I would like it to make everyone reflect. We just have to be thankful that he's okay. I was really scared at the end of the race and I stopped at the Aprilia box just to make sure of his condition."
