SBK: Bulega: surprise in Misano for debut of new Ducati V4-R Superbike

It was strictly a closed-door test, so there were no statements (for now) let alone photos, since this bike isn't yet on the market, and Ducati wants to keep the utmost confidentiality about it.

That said, the new Ducati V4-R Superbike did its first laps on the Misano track today. This is the Panigale the Italian manufacturer will be lining up on the starting blocks of the World Superbike Championship in 2026.

Davide Stirpe performed the first shakedown. He's riding with the Rossa in the Production Bike with Garage51. The rider from Rome did a few laps so that he could figure out if everything was working at its best without obviously seeking a lap time.

Michele Pirro was also present with the MotoGP, as was Nicolò Bulega, who arrived at the circuit in the company of Serafino Foti, Aruba's Team Manager. If he renews his contract with Ducati, the SBK runner-up World champion could already be testing the new bike in the summer. Obviously, Bulega is looking ahead towards 2026, so he was really curious to see the latest-evolution Panigale up close. Marco Zambenedetti, Superbike Project Manager for Ducati, coordinated the development work.
