SBK: Ducati, the big day: the new Panigale V4-R Superbike comes alive at Misano

This is it, the countdown has finally come to an end. Today, on the Misano track, after Sunday's CIV round, Michele Pirro will debut the new Ducati V4-R, which is the bike we will see next year in the World SBK Championship.

Of course, there is no shortage of expectation for the Panigale that marks a turning point in Ducati's history. Regarding this debut, we caught up with the Italian test rider, who for the occasion granted us a few words: "I am very curious to get on track with the new bike, which as you already know has several new features, including a double-sided swingarm - he told us - it will be interesting to try it and understand the first feedback. More than that I can't say, since I haven't started the work yet. We will have an overall picture of the situation after the test. For sure, this Panigale marks a turning point for Ducati, and we are all excited about the company's continued efforts."

In addition to the Superbike, Michele Pirro will also ride with the MotoGP in order to continue the development of the Desmosedici: "We will try to understand some things, which unfortunately we were not able to do in the preseason. There is no lack of work, but for me it makes me really proud to contribute to the growth path of our company, whose eyes are already turned to 2027 with the 850cc."
