SBK, Kenan Sofuoglu: "Toprak has two options to go to MotoGP"

The Turkish rider's manager speaks: "Nothing is clear at the moment. Toprak has a 50-50 chance of staying in Superbike and an equal chance of leaving."

SBK: Kenan Sofuoglu:

Toprak Razgatlioglu's future still remains all to be written, and at the moment there is only one certainty regarding his 2026: at the end of the season, the Turkish rider's contract with BMW expires, so as a result it will be necessary to rediscuss it.

Of course, as always, there is no shortage of market rumors around the world champion. His manager, namely Kenan Sofuoglu, has been intervening on the topic. The former Supersport world champion wanted to take stock of the situation with our colleagues from Speedweek: "As far as his future is concerned, to date, nothing is clear," said Sofuoglu, "it seems that there are two options to go to MotoGP next year. At the moment, however, we are focusing more on winning a second title with BMW."

Crystal clear words from Sofuoglu, whose priority remains winning the title in the production-based racing series: "We haven't started the season well and we need to focus on winning the World Superbike Championship and trying to get more wins. From what we saw in Portimao, we can say that Toprak is back! Of course, my priority is to find the best solution for Toprak: right now I put the chances at 50-50 between MotoGP and Superbike."
