MotoGP, Xaus: "Bagnaia mortified by his own team. Now he just has to attack."

"Marc Marquez arrived in Austin overconfident that he had the upper hand. The internal duels in the Lenovo box will make it easier for Alex." Crivillé: "The youngest of the brothers is a sponge. Regularity could reward him."

MotoGP: Xaus:

Saturday's narrative had presaged yet further domination by Marquez and instead, emerging victorious from the Austin GP on Sunday was Bagnaia. A solid performance by the Italian that was as impressive as the Spaniard's mistake and the strength shown by the other Marquez, Alex. This magical trio of riders that livened up the Texas weekend were the subject of the podcast You Tube Duralavita involving just a few people who know a bit about motorcycle racing.

"Pecco arrived at the Sprint demoralized by qualifying. The 2024 championship finale had accustomed him to starting from the first place and instead this season Marc has always beaten him. Struggling even to start from the front row will certainly have put him in trouble psychologically, as well as seeing the same in-form Alex consistently hand him almost a second - was the analysis of Jorge Lorenzo's former crew chief Ramon Forcada - Let's say, however, that he had a good reaction."

"In my opinion , last Sunday's race will prove beneficial, not only for the Italian, but for the show in general. That's why I expect a very interesting Qatar GP. Losail is a circuit suited to the rider from Piedmont, who will certainly arrive in high spirits, not only because he won, but because of how he handled the Spaniard of Gresini Racing. Losing to the favorite doesn't surprise you, but for someone who wasn't being considered to do it repeatedly is really hard to swallow. I think he's aware that without the crash he would never have put Marc down, but at least a step past him," he concluded his reasoning.

A similar interpretation but with some more reflection was provided by Ruben Xaus: "In addition to being beaten on the track, Francesco took them from his own box, as the team celebrated Marquez's victories a lot and certainly seeing certain scenes is painful. However, we are talking about a humble guy and a hard worker, always able to take advantage of chances when they arise. As for Marc, in Austin he arrived as a super favorite having already had so many wins in a row. Perhaps an excess of relaxation made him slip up. He was convinced he was going to run away, but the treacherous surface conditions got him into trouble. In my opinion the internal duel in the Lenovo team will benefit Alex. To come out well Pecco will always have to attack."

According to two-time world champion Alex Crivillé, however, the real man in this start of the World Championship is another, Alex Marquez. "What he is doing is amazing," he said, "He has certainly learned a lot from his brother. Being together with him has helped him, and for his part he has proven to be a sponge by going from being a normal rider to a great interpreter of the discipline. Although certainly crossing the finish line always second may not have pleased him, regularity has rewarded him and now he is leading the standings." The Spaniard then addressed the fate of another of his compatriots, Jorge Martin, returning after a double injury in the next round. "He will have to take it slowly as he will be riding a new bike that he has practically never tried. Initially his task will be to focus only on setting up the bike and avoiding putting pressure on himself. Being aggressive I believe, however, that we will soon see him in the top 10," was his final consideration.
