MotoGP: French Grand Prix on calendar until 2031

Le Mans set a new all-time attendance record for the MotoGP in 2023 and then broke it again last year. And, now, it's going to have more time to do better because the French Grand Prix will have five guaranteed more editions, with the event confirmed on the calendar until 2031.

Promoter Claude Michy commented: "Many years ago, I was privileged to have met Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna's CEO,who has always put his trust in me. I have great respect for him and deep gratitude because he's managed to evolve the MotoGP and turn it into this incredible show. Our contract as promoter would've expired in 2026, and I'm happy, honored, and proud to announce that it's going to be extended until 2031."

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, which owns the rights to the MotoGP, added: "France already had an incredible legacy in motorsports, and we're proud that our Grand Prix has been added. We're the largest sporting event in France, and the grandstands reflect the growth and diversification of our growing audience, showing exactly what we want to see around the world as the sport continues to grow, exponentially. France is a vital market for us, and we couldn't ask for better working with PHA Claude Michy."
