MotoGP: Morbidelli and Di Giannantonio in Austin with special livery

The MotoGP takes to the track this weekend in Austin, where the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is competing in the Grand Prix of the Americas: the only round on the calendar in the United States. Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio are going to the US with very positive feelings after their excellent weekend in Argentina. Their goal is to continue to get good results. And the Tavullia-based team will have a surprise on Sunday for American fans: a special livery.

Morbidelli is returning after his first podium with the team at Termas de Rio Hondo. With a 3rd place in the race, he proved he has the potential he demonstrated early in the season. Franco is going to Austin in 4th position in the overall standings, with 37 points.

Di Giannantonio will be going to the States after two weeks of intense work recovering from his shoulder injury. Fabio is ready to battle just as he did in Argentina, where he achieved two Top 5s that allowed him a 6th position in the Championship, with 22 points.

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team will be on the track on Friday for free practice, while qualifying will take place on Saturday (10:50 am local time, -6 CET). The sprint will start at 3 pm (local time), while the Grand Prix of the Americas will conclude on Sunday with the race, which returns to its usual time and starts at 2 pm (local time).

"I'm fine, and I'm very excited for the weekend in the U.S.," Diggia said. "We're in a moment of growth, recovery is getting better and better, and I've been training normally these past few days. Austin is one of the most physically demanding tracks on the calendar, so it's important to get there as ready as possible, and I'm happy with how I've prepared. We'll have to try to continue on the positive path we confirmed at Termas, and getting off to a good start right away is going to be important."

"We're going to Austin, a track I like a lot, but it's very difficult and different than the two we raced on at the start of the season," Morbido added. "We're coming with a big boost of confidence and enthusiasm after the great result in Argentina. The goal is to continue like this, and we want to start off well right away, working during the weekend like we did in the previous two races. I'm coming to the U.S. also full of energy after being in Brazil last week. It was really great."
