Carl Fogarty is ready to return to the circuit in the role of Team Principal. In fact, the four-time Superbike champion announced that he joined forces with Supercar Advocates for the BSB in 2026 with a new team that will aim to excel in the British Championship with Ducati.
It's going to be a double comeback for "King Carl" who'll again be wearing the Borgo Panigale colors, the ones with which he won 59 victories and 4 world titles in the Superbike, before prematurely ending his racing career in 2000. And he'll also be embarking on a new managerial project after the unfortunate ending of the Foggy-Petronas team, in which he started in 2002 with the support of the Malaysian oil company.
In this new project, Fogary will be teaming up with Lecha Khouri, owner of the Supercar Advocates company, which already boasts a working team in ASBK, the Australian Superbike Championship. Instead, for its debut in the Superbike across the Channel, the Advocates Racing Superbike team will be able to count on the support of an experienced group: Britain's Jackson Racing.
"I can't wait to get back to racing! I'm older and wiser now than when I managed a team in the past. Back then, we had a bike to develop while, this time, we'll have a tested bike that's capable of winning. We want to start strong right away and be able to win from the beginning," Fogarty commented, immediately presenting the great ambition that lies behind the project.
"I love BSB racing. Of the three championships I follow - the MotoGP, World Superbike, and BSB - it's the one I prefer. That's because the races are very close. I love the nature of the circuits they race on, the power of the bikes, and the way the electronics don't interfere with the riders," he added. "I'm happy to be part of this project. Being involved with this team is incredibly exciting."
Lecha Khouri - eager to nerter the British Championship alongside a former rider of Fogarty's caliber - also commented.
"The news that Carl Fogarty will join the Advocates Racing Superbike team in the BSB for 2026 is absolutely exciting. Carl Fogarty is a true legend, a past champion with Ducati, and one of my favorite riders of all time, so this is a dream come true for our team," he said. "This new venture will elevate our brand to new heights and provide fans around the world with an exciting show. It's an exciting adventure, and this is just the beginning."
