Miguel Oliveira's weekend in Argentina ended early. Yesterday, the Pramac rider was the victim of a fall triggered by Fermin Aldeguer during the Sprint.
After undergoing initial tests, a press release was issued: "It seems like his collarbone is okay, but there are doubts about the sternal-collar area, so Miguel will be taken to the hospital in Santiago del Estero for a CT scan." The check-up reassured everyone, confirming that Oliveira is fine and nothing is broken.
However, a precautionary decision was reached in the last few hours: the Portuguese rider will be returning home as early as this morning. Even if they've ruled out fractures, there might be possible ligament involvement. So, now, they're hoping that Miguel will be in top form before Austin.
