MotoGP, Bezzecchi: "I braked late. I couldn't avoid Quartararo."

"I apologized to Fabio for what happened. Unfortunately, it's a crappy finish. You don't get anywhere with ifs and buts."

MotoGP: Bezzecchi:

Marco Bezzecchi's GP in Argentina lasted only a few meters. In fact, the Aprilia rider ended up falling at the start of the race, also compromising Fabio Quartararo's Sunday. A bitter epilogue for the rider who won at Termas de Rio Hondo two years ago and, instead, has to lick his wounds this time.

"I don't have much to say," he said. "Unfortunately, I made a mistake, and I apologize to everyone. I braked too late and, to avoid Morbidelli, I had to straighten the bike. The problem is that I hit Quartararo's rear without being able to avoid him. I apologized to him for the mistake, and I'm sorry, because it's a crappy finish."

What result could you have aspired to?
"My pace was good. I was confident with the medium, despite starting from behind. You don't get anywhere with ifs and buts. In fact, it's hard to make a prediction. I feel bad, because it's unfortunate."

What do you expect from the next race?
"The bike is improving, the team is working in an important way, and we'll try to further develop in Austin. We have to improve the RS-GP, but especially in qualifying, even if I really like the Texas track."
