Marco Bezzecchi will also have to do without his teammate in Texas. Martin officially announced that he won't be racing in Austin and doesn't yet know if he'll be ready to do so in Qatar in two weeks. The Italian rider will, therefore, continue to share the garage with test rider Lorenzo Savadori and keep the weight of the factory team on his shoulders.
"It's a decision that Jorge has reached with Aprilia, and I think it's the best choice for him to come back when he's in the best shape possible," the Bez commented. "It's too bad he won't be with us in Austin, but I hope that, when he does come back, he'll be at his best and ready to race."
But, before thinking about the future, they have to look at the present with admiration because Marco won the last GP at Termas de Rio Hondo.
"I'm happy to come back to this track. I like it. Of course, I have good memories. But, every time you come to a circuit, it's a different story, a new start," he emphasized.
And especially since the Argentine track doesn't exactly look as neat and clean as the MotoGP bikes need it to be.
"It's going to be rough, because we haven't been here for two years, so the track will be very dirty, and we'll have to figure out the conditions," Bezzecchi noted. "The whole weekend will be rough, because the circuit will improve day by day, and we'll have to figure out how fast it is each time."
He'll soon find out tomorrow in the first free practice session. Instead, they'll have a bit more time to think about something new on the horizon: Pirelli's arrival in the MotoGP for 2027.
"It's strange news because I didn't expect it," the Aprilia rider admitted. "It's still some time away. It's nice to have an Italian brand, but now I want to focus on these last two seasons with Michelin. They've done a really good job, and I want to finish with them in the best way possible."
